You’re in the right place. I’m Joey Bruns, personal trainer and owner of All the Gains Fitness. For over 15 years, my mission has been to help people learn to love movement and make exercise effective with a minimally effective dose. I want to show people how to enjoy working out and get real results with as little effort and as much ease as possible.

So many of us struggle with chronic pain from past injuries or other causes — myself included. At All the Gains, we use functional movement to improve body symmetry and correct imbalances that lead to pain, discomfort, and ineffective exercise.

In addition to pain, boredom can be another barrier to regular movement. I don’t believe in boring workouts. Exercise should be enjoyable — something you look forward to and find fulfilling. At All the Gains Fitness, every workout is customized to fit each client’s needs and interests, making fitness both effective and fun.

Meet Joey

Exercise and movement have always been important to me. As a kid, I was constantly on the go — climbing, running, exploring, and feeling free. But a fall from a horse changed everything. What began as a hip injury eventually led to chronic knee pain, and by high school, I was dealing with a torn meniscus. As I tried to stay active, pain followed me everywhere. Every attempt to get stronger seemed to bring on a new injury, and I realized that my body wasn’t healing; it was collecting scars.

Determined to break the cycle, I began studying movement, analyzing everything from the way I walked and sat to how I lifted and stretched. This journey led me to become a certified personal trainer, with a focus on functional movement and corrective exercise. I wanted to help others avoid the setbacks I had faced and discover a smarter, healthier way to move.

Today, I’ve been a trainer for over 15 years, and I’m proud to help clients find the freedom I eventually reclaimed. My approach isn’t about pushing through pain; it’s about creating balance, relieving discomfort, and finding real joy in movement. For me, exercise is now a path to freedom and healing, and I’m here to help you find that path, too.
